NZD price guide

Prices are charged in US dollars; your card provider converts them to New Zealand dollars. Approximate guides:

Exchange rates move, and some cards add a foreign transaction fee. There is no shipping charge because the files are digital.

Summer Christmas, birthdays and Matariki

Christmas in New Zealand falls in summer, so a beach portrait, garden scene or Santa hat can all feel right. The same digital portrait works for a birthday, Gotcha Day, Matariki gift or phone wallpaper. For a pet who has passed away, see our gentle memorial portraits.

There is no international shipping wait or customs delay. Download the HD file and use a local photo lab for a print, card or canvas.

Take a photo that works well

  1. Use soft daylight, such as a bright window or shade outdoors.
  2. Hold the camera at your pet's eye level and keep the face sharp.
  3. Use one pet per photo with a simple background.
  4. Keep people out of the frame; photos with people are rejected automatically for privacy.

What “painted portrait” means

PetMagi creates AI-generated digital art in a painted style. It is not a brush-painted original by a human artist. If you want a physical one-off painting, commission a New Zealand artist; if you want a printable digital portrait today, start with the free preview.
