Why a pack of your own cat

There are thousands of meme-cat stickers on WhatsApp, and that is the problem – they belong to everyone. A pack of your cat is personal: relatives recognise her instantly, and "Luna is hungry" becomes the way your household says dinner is late. A custom pack also survives phone changes, because stickers you send can be re-saved from any chat.

Getting a usable cat photo (harder than dogs)

• Wait for awake, not asleep. Sleeping cats are cute but give the drawing little to work with. Shoot when she watches a toy.
• Eye level. Crouch down; photos from above make the head look tiny.
• Window light for dark cats. Black and dark tabby cats lose their features in dim rooms.
• Eyes visible. Cat expressions live in the eyes and ears – both should be in the shot.
• No people, one cat. Human faces are refused; for two cats make two packs.

WhatsApp's sticker rules in plain words

• Each sticker: 512 × 512 pixels, WebP, transparent background, under 100 KB.
• Animated stickers: animated WebP under 500 KB, and they must be in a separate pack from static ones.
• A pack holds between 3 and 30 stickers and needs a 96 × 96 tray icon.

Step by step on iPhone and Android

Best captions for cats

Every pack includes the 16 most-used replies – hi, love you, LOL, no, sad, grrr, good night, hungry, OMG, thank you, party, cool, sorry, OK, bye, miss you – in English, German, French, Spanish or Japanese. For cats, "no", "grrr" and "hungry" are the ones that get used daily.

Sharing the pack with family

WhatsApp has no public link for custom packs, but anyone who receives one of your cat stickers can tap it and choose "Add to favourites" (or "Save"). Send the five best ones to the family chat and let everyone save them.
